For the fashion conscious, there are some must-haves that the stylists at People Magazine have considered to be the most trendy for winter. I have broken down the list which consisted of 15 items and shortened it to 5 items. These are based on what I have seen on campus and are each a different type of garment.
On a windy fall morning I asked Stony Brook female students what they liked to wear for fall. They described to me there favorite accessories and what brands they prefer over others. They also told me what they wished for the holidays and what they could add to their fall wardrobe.
Ladies, that winter chill is around the corner so its time to get that coat out of the old closet… or maybe its time to spruce it up a bit and go hip and fashionable. If your looking for that perfect peacoat or leather jacket, have no fear because, I have done my research and found a place that is fashionable and cheap (and when I mean cheap I mean reasonable prices for our pockets.) Its Overstock.com.
As a college student, saving a few dollars is what you always want, so why spend more than you have, when you know you could save the extra cash for next semester’s books…ahem! And invest in a coat from Overstock.com. By the way make any purchases on the site and only pay $2.95 for your entire order. So what are you waiting for?
“Ok…like what was she thinking?” I thought, as I was walking out of my lovely JRN 320 class a few days ago and FOUND THIS! Lord have mercy child, I said in my head. I felt bad taking the picture, but it inspired me more to do what I love best: Talking, eating, breathing FASHION. This is why I created this slide below. I love fashion and I would love to design for people one day (like the girl on the left) who need some fashion direction. If you would like to know the basic requirements in putting a piece together just flip through the slide below. Enjoy!
As many of you know Stony Brook University has Red Hot Fridays, where students, faculty, and staff are encourgaed to wear the signature Stony Brook red color at games and on Fridays to show support for our NCAA Division I Seawolves. Red is the color of success that represents us at Stony Brook. This is a tradition and is a nice way of showing school spirit. So visit the campus bookstore and see the variety of merchandise you can buy to show ur spirit. The Melville Library has a showcase of some of the sweaters and Stony Brook items for sale.
