Things you will need:

  • Chocolate Icing
  • Candy Corn
  • Chocolate Sprinkles
  • Mini M&M’s
  • Black- decorating gel icing
  • Ziploc sandwich bag

After you have baked your favorite boxed cupcake mix and let your cupcakes cool down, you can start icing them with chocolate icing.  Next, you will want to take you sandwich bag and fill it up with icing. It is going to act a pastry bag to make the heads of the turkey. You want to make sure when you put the icing in the plastic bag that it is squeezed to one corner of the bag. Next, take a scissor and cut the tip of the bag. Squeeze the bag slowly and create a dollop of icing near the edge of each cupcake. Next, place 2 mini M&M’s on the dollop of chocolate icing. These will be the turkey’s eyes. Take one candy corn and place it between the two M&M’s. The candy corn becomes the turkey’s nose.  Then, take 5 more candy corns and insert them into the back of the cupcake. These are the feathers. Finally, take your black gel icing and add pupils to the turkey’s eyes and sprinkle chocolate sprinkles in front of the candy corn feathers. Mix and match the mini M&M colors to give your Thanksgiving turkey cupcakes some character.

Happy decorating!
