I’ve never really listened to folk music before, but a friend told me to give it a chance, and so I did. I came across a singer/songwriter/actress named Schuyler (pronounced sky-ler) Fisk and I fell in love with her music. It feels like poems, but they are songs. It is unbelievable that Fisk is so young, but at the same time so talented.
She’s the daughter of actress Sissy Spacek and production designer Jack Fisk. You can tell that the artistic vein runs in her family…
She debuted just this summer with an album called “The Good Stuff” that is appropriately named, because it is indeed good. Her voice is like that of Colbie Caillat, but deeper, silkier.
She had recorded some songs before, but this is her first album.
If you have a chance, listen to some of her songs. It’s worth it!
