Stony Brook University’s Walk For Beauty, Walk For Life

Walk for beauty walk for life

Get involved and volunteer at Stony Brook University’s annual Walk For Beauty, Walk For Life. Stony Brook University Medical Center and the Ward Melville Heritage Organization are hosting the event on Sunday October 4, 2009. The walk around the Stony Brook Village helps raise money for breast and prostate cancer research. All proceeds will go directly to Stony Brook University’s Cancer Research facilities.

Stony Brook students can either volunteer at the event or participate in walking. You can pay a 20 dollar registration fee and choose to either walk a distance of 4k or 6k. They will be accepting registrations the day of the event, so don’t worry about signing up early. Registration begins at 8:30 A.M. and the walk will proceed at 9:30 A.M.  Participants are advised to park in the South-P parking lot and transportation will be provided to the events location. The walk will start at the Stony Brook Post Office and proceed around the Stony Brook Village Center.

Get involved and help support a great cause.
