American sports compared to European

On Saturday I went to the Seawolves Football game and on Sunday I saw a baseball game, the New York Mets against the Washington Nationals. Both times I was really impressed by the atmosphere in the Stadiums.

The Seawolves had an amazing halftime show by the chearleaders, the dance team and the marching band. All things that I saw for the first time. But I was quite astonished by the audience. Everybody was just watching the game, nobody sang, nobody insulted the opponents. In Europe both of these sports aren’t very popular, our national sport is soccer. Soccer only lasts for 90 minutes, so you don’t need a seat, nor a cotton candy nor do you bring your kids with you. All your energy is for the team! You sing, scream, comment on the players and threaten the referee.

But I don’t want to complain. The Seawolves won, as did the Mets. Maybe your way is the better one, because at home my soccer team is loosing the third game in a series…
